The plaque at the left was presented to Myrtle and Twyla with the inscription: “The Beacon Award is hereby bestowed upon Myrtle Robinson, Dr. Twyla Tuten And The Hansom Wheels In recognition of their outstanding efforts to introduce young people to Sherlock Holmes.” Presented on 8 January 2005 by W. Scott Monty and Andrew L. Solberg. Myrtle received the award in New York City as shown below left and subsequently presented it to Twyla at North Augusta Middle School on January 14 as shown below.
